Connect has articulated its commitments to each child we serve in a formal Child Wellbeing Code. This code guides our professional practice. A copy of the Code can be downloaded by clicking here.
Connect is currently a Company Limited by Guarantee. In 2015, the Members voted to change the legal status of the organisation to a company limited by guarantee, a process that was completed in 2017. The organisation is governed by a Board. The Chairman of the Board is Mr Robert Crowe, a community member and businessman whose daughter attended Connect’s Possum Centre.
Connect’s management and service delivery is overseen by a leadership group under a Chief Executive Officer appointed by the Board. The CEO is Mark Turley, a local community member and experienced organisational leader.
Connect works with over 1200 families and 1500 children in the communities we serve. We have a particular commitment to serving children and families facing disability and disadvantage.
Connect is a public benevolent institution and a registered charity. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. Donations can be made to Connect’s work by clicking here.
Connect acknowledges the funding support it receives from the Commonwealth and NSW Government through the Department of Family and Community Services and Department of Education.
We acknowledge that our services operate on the traditional lands of the Darug, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri peoples, and we pay our respects to their Elders, past and present.
